Machine optimization: Tailored machine measurement offerings

The tailored machine measurement offerings of the HEIDENHAIN Service team allow you to collect data on and compensate for dynamic inaccuracy. The aim is higher machine quality and optimal machining results. Many of our services do not require a HEIDENHAIN control!

Laser measurement for linear axes

Spatial positioning accuracy can be greatly increased when a volumetric measurement of your machine’s linear axes is performed with a laser tracer, followed by compensation of the measured inaccuracies in the control. For simpler measurement tasks, we also offer laser measurement for a single linear axis using a laser interferometer.

Measuring rotary axes

The RVM 4000 comparator encoder and the ACCOM 4.0 software for PCs deliver the data needed for perfect measurement of your machine’s rotary axes.

Improved contouring behavior

The KGM 200 grid encoder provides information about the actual contouring behavior of your machine tool, thus aiding in the optimal fine-tuning of its axes.

Setup and measurement for angle heads

Do you want to start using an angle head? The HEIDENHAIN Service team will help you with specification, setup, and measurement.

Analyzing machine performance

Get the most out for your machine within your applications, and check your machines on a regular basis. We’ll help with on-site machine analysis and provide hard data about your machine’s untapped potential for optimal results.

Process optimization

If you make the same part repeatedly in large quantities, then process optimization can be a benefit. Over time, even a two or three percent reduction in cost and time make a big difference!
